SKPS celebrated its 27th Annual Day “SAPIENZA” with unprecedented fanfare on December 20th 2019.With great elation and gusto, we had our Christmas day celebrations also on the same day. The school campus was decorated elegantly and there was festive atmosphere all around. The entire school participated wholeheartedly towards the success of this grand event.

The spectacular event commenced with the auspicious lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the distinguished assembly of guests. The Chief Guest of the day, Shri. Mons Joseph MLA exhorted the audience and lauded the school management for providing quality education to all. It was followed by the honouring of our beloved Manager Rev. Fr. Tomy Thervalakattayil OSB, who is celebrating the Silver Jubilee of his Priestly Ordination. Soaking in the spirit of Christmas Rev. Fr. Ajeesh Kunjarakattu OSB, former Principal of SKPS delivered the Christmas message. He pointed out the significance of Christmas in this present scenario.After that Rev. Fr. Biju Thazathucheruvil OSB, a man of unique sagacity and probity offered the benedictory address. The function was felicitated by Shri. Johnson Kottukappally, former Panchayat President of Njeezhoor and Shri. Santhosh Jacob, our PTA President.

It was followed by the Kiddies Show. Our kids danced to the tune of songs with colourful props.The variety dance, fusion dance, hip-hop dance, hawaian dance etc rocked the stage. Parents were visibly excited to watch the performances of their kids. Our Annual Day-SAPIENZA truly became a celebration of art, creativity and talent.The venue reverberated with thunderous applause and the audience witnessed the perfection and extravaganza of the show. The Annual day programmes of kiddies winded up at 4.30 p.m.

Succeeding that the formal inauguration of Cultural Fiesta took place. The very popular Cine artist Shri. Tony Antony inaugurated the colourful cultural eve. Our beloved Principal Rev. Fr. Joby kurian OSB, gave a short history of the school and read out the annual report. Rev. Fr. Tomy Thervalakattayil OSB, did the Jubilee cake cutting. After that Shri. P.V Sunil, President of Kaduthuruthy Grama Panchayat felicitated the gathering. Following that alumni awards, best outgoing students award, memorial awards etc were given to the students, to acknowledge their achievements. The overall championship trophy was bagged by the yellow house. Finally our beloved Vice Principal Mr. Babu Joseph expressed his words of gratitude.

After that the stage was opened to all. The dexterous and skilful students of SKPS presented mesmerizing cultural events. It was being displayed with aplomb. The baby shark dance, English drama, horror dance, Earth dance, finale dance, emoji dance, comedy skit etc beguiled and bewitched the audience. Inshort the Annual Day-‘SAPIENZA 2019-20’ showcased the outstanding aptitude and aptness of students. The audience comprised of the parents, guests and well wishers were captivated by the enchanting performances of our budding stars.

On concluding the report I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our beloved Manager Rev. Fr. Tomy Thervalakattayil OSB, our Principal Rev. Fr. Joby Kurian OSB and all the teaching and non-teaching staffs for their help and support. I express my praise to the Almighty for his blessings which guided us in the successful coordination of the event.
