[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The outbreak of COVID-19 had limited many schools into planning their events online. So did SKPS. The school celebrated this year’s Christmas and New Year through Microsoft Teams. The event also saw the inauguration of SKPS E-Learning website and the honoring of Fr. Tomy Thervalakkattayil for making it 25 years into his monastic life. The function began with an official meeting which was telecasted at 11 a.m live through Microsoft Teams. The chief guest of the occassion was His Excellency Bishop Gheevarghese Mar Aphrem. He blessed the occassion and enlightened the gathering with the Christmas message. He also inaugurated SKPS’ very own E-Learning portal.His Excellency honored Fr. Tomy Thervalakattayil by presenting with the ‘ponnaada’ on his Silver Jubilee. Mr. Santhosh Jacob (PTA President) felicitated the gathering; Fr. Biju Thaazhathucheruvil (Vallambrosan Congregation, India), Fr. Stephen Kozhiparambathu (Bursar), and Fr. Tomy Thervalakkattayil (Manager) stressed on the need to change and adapt to the new of way of education i.e., online education. Fr. Joby Pannoorayil expressed his gratitude to everyone gathered and, conveyed his wishes and good tidings.

The event concluded with a recorded video, streamed through Teams, of the Christmas cultural programs prepared and presented by Mr. Jacob, Mr. Godwin and Mr. Emil. The program was hosted by Kumari Anna George of class V C. She led the online audience into the programme with the tale of Artaban, also known as the ‘The Other Wise Man’, revealing the story in between each episode.
