Forza 2K23, the Annual Sports Meet of St Kuriakose Public School was held on 20 October 2023. After hoisting the three mighty flags- the Olympic Flag, the School Flag and the Meet flag, the students of the four houses- Amorosus, Amor Patriae, Gentilesse and Koinonia marched with pride and valour in perfect form and strength. Sri Rishi Raj Singh IPS, the roaring lion of the 1985 IPS Kerala Cadre, was the Chief guest of the day and inaugurated the event and declared the meet open. Flying the balloons and pigeons was a unique gesture to kick start the day. Our beloved manager and the prior of Vallambrosan Benedictine congregation Rev Fr Dr Bino Cheriyil OSB graced the occasion with his succint words. The School Principal Rev Fr Ajeesh Kunjarakkattu OSB extended a hearty welcome to the distinguished guests and the athletes.
Mrs Jennie Robin, the PTA President extended the felicitations and our Vice Principal Mr Babu Joseph delivered the vote of thanks which concluded the formal proceedings.
The formal inaugural session concluded by 11am and thereafter was followed by Rhapsody Wild-an amalgamation of Dance, Yoga, Karate and Aerobics which was indeed a visual treat. Students from various houses took part in the colourful arts-cultural display.
The FORZA GALA competitions were categorised under Sub junior, Junior and Senior categories. Various track events like 100m, 200m, 400m, 600m, 4x100m relay, 4x200m relay, 1500m race and 3000m race were the key attractions of the day. Shot put, Discus throw and javelin throw were the throw items held. Certificates and medals were awarded by various dignitaries to the prize winners.
