On the 16 th of November, SKPS hosted Hubs of learning badminton tournament 2019 – 2020, a day filled with joy and excitement . The tournament took place at SKPS indoor stadium.

The official inauguration function began at 9.15 AM with the blessings of God almighty. Rev Fr Tomy Thervalakattayil did the inaugural speech. He explained the importance of Hubs tournament.
After that Fr Tomy Thervalakattayil inaugurated the tournament by doing the first serve.
6 schools took part in the tournament. The tournament featured male and female singles and doubles competition. The spectators witnessed a tough match and all the teams played vigorously to win.

The winners of boys singles were Rony Sebastian from SKPS Kaduthuruthy who secured the 1st prize and Abshar Sharbin Erattupetta secured the 2nd prize.
From girls singles Irine Elsa Francis from SKPS Kaduthuruthy secured the first prize and Parvathi Jayadas from Clemis school Chingavanam secured the 2nd prize.
Moving on to boys doubles Abshar Sharbin and Abid Muhammad from Al Manar Erattupetta secured the first prize, 2nd prize was won by Jayimon Monichan and Vineeth Paul from warwin Vaikom.

Girls doubles Irine Elsa Francis and Anuja Gigimon secured the first prize, 2nd price was awarded to Pooja Lakshmi V J and Gowri Krishna from Sreyas public school Ponkunnam.

The valedictory function began at 1.30 pm. The participants, referees, teachers, non teaching staff etc were there. All winners were whole heartedly appreciated and was gifted with the trophy’s.
The hubs tournament truly become the platform to showcase the talents and efforts of children. On concluding the report , Iam happy to feel that all the events went as per schedule and we were able to complete the tournament right in time. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our manager Rev Fr Tomy Thervalakattayil OSB , principal Fr Joby Pannoorayil OSB and all the teaching and non teaching staffs for their support.
