SCHOOL PARLIAMENT ELECTION

The School Parliament Election to the post of Head boy and Head girl was conducted on 15/06/2024, Saturday. Polling started at 9:00 am and ended at 10:45 am.

Computer Voting System was used to cast votes.

The following candidates contested to the post of Head boy:

1. Alen Joe (XIIA)
2. Davin Sijo (XIIC)
3. M Kailasnath (XIA)

The following candidates contested to the post of Head girl:

1. Gourinanda S (XIB)
2. Mariya Biju (XIIB)

Students of classes VI to XII constituted the electorate. There were 822 voters in total. Total 818 votes were casted and 4 votes became invalid. Counting of votes and declaration of the result was on the same day.

The following students were elected respectively:

Head boy: Davin Sijo (XIIC)

Head girl: Mariya Biju (XIIB)

All the procedures of the Parliament Election was followed to conduct School Parliament Election. There was filing of nomination, scrutiny, withdrawal, declaration of candidates’ list, public as well as silent campaign and meet the candidate programme. The student organizer was used as the ID proof. Before casting vote, ink mark was made on the left-hand index finger of each voter. The polling was a new experience for the new voters in class VI.
