St.Kuriakose Public School celebrated Onam on the school’s premises amidst much fanfare involving staff and management of the school. The celebrations started with setting up of an attractive floral decoration (pookalam) which was a competition among the 4 houses of the school in the auditorium area that was reminiscent of the agrarian past of Kerala, a South Indian state. Impressive designs and artistic creativity were the hallmarks of the Pookalam, which turned out to be attractive and mesmerizing and took everyone into a world of festivity and fun. Different types of Onam Competitions were held and also conducted like the tug of war (Vadam Vali) for Teachers and students.

The main attractions of the programme were Thiruvathira Kali by female teachers. The Girls students did Kaikottikkali. The arrival of Mahabali amid the beats of panchavadyam was well-received by the audience. Another attraction of the day was the traditional ‘payasam”.

The Cultural events (public ,meeting ) was done at 1 pm which was inaugurated by Miss Seethalakshmi Top Singer Winner ( Flowers TV) and the chief guest was Kottayam Ramesh, Cine Artist

Fr.Bino Tom, Manager presided the meeting and he lauded the commendable performances of the staff, especially all departments who took initiative for organizing the event and thanked everyone for making the programme a memorable one

PTA President Mrs Jenny Joy did the vote of thanks .

Various colourful power-packed performances were conducted by teachers, students and non-teaching staff.
