SKPS reopened on June 1st,2022-23 and the students stepped into a new academic year with much hope and aspirations, to revive again after a very long and rejuvenating summer break. Amidst divine chants and by paying obeisance to Lord Almighty, the school management welcomed all the students to the proud campus of SKPS. A very special formal function paved way for the commencement of the new academic year.
The official inaugural ceremony began at 10:30 a.m. with a lovely orison by the school choir, to pay salutation to the Lord Almighty.It was followed by the welcome of student representatives ,Kumari Femi Varghese and Kumari Neelanjana Anand. The official meeting was presided over by Rev.Fr.Biju Thazathucheruvil OSB,Prior,Vallombrosan Benedictine Congregation. Special guests of the day, Mr Thomas Panackal, Vice President, Njeezhoor Grampanchayat and Dr Sunil C Mathew, Principal, Devamatha College,Kuravilangad lighted the customary lamp to mark the inauguration of day’s proceedings. Following that the release of the school logo, ‘Illustratio’ 2022-23 took place. After that our beloved Principal,Rev.Fr.Joby Panoorayil OSB came up with the school reopening day message. He stressed the need of sheer perseverance to achieve great goals.It was followed by the honouring of Kumari Maria Biju of Grade X, for bringing laurels to the institution.Along with that our Guests of honour,Shri. Thomas Panackal and Dr. Sunil C Mathew were also honoured by the School Management.After that,Mr.Santhosh Jacob, our PTA President felicitated the audience.Finally our beloved Vice Principal,Mr.Babu Joseph Sir delivered the vote of thanks.
Various cultural programmes got underway after the official meeting. The blooming buds of SKPS enthralled,beguiled and bewitched the audience with their mesmerizing performances. The power packed performances set the stage on fire. The day ended in a beautiful resonance lingering in everybody’s mind.On concluding the report, we express our praise to the Lord Almighty, who guided us in the successful co-ordination of the event.
