After two years of Covid 19,disruptions, a new academic session 2022-23 got underway with great hopes and expectations. The star attractions were Std 1 and It was a proud day for Std 11 students too. Students of Std 1 entered the school campus with happiness on  their faces accompanied by their parents.They were welcomed by the class teachers with a warm handshake and were gifted with chocolates. Students were treated with various cultural programmes in an atmosphere of celebration and gaiety. The programme commenced at 10.00am with a musical prayer song that filled the  air with warmth.

Mrs Mary Clemence delivered the words of welcome. Rev Fr Biju Thazhathacheruvil  OSB (Prior Vallambrosan Benedictine Congregation presided over the function. The chief guest of the celebration was Mrs Sainamma Shaju, President of Gram Panchayath   Kaduthuruthy.She kindled the lamp of learning ushering into the  new horizon of learning. . In her inaugural address, she advised the students to obey and respect their parents. And also to avoid the overuse of mobile phones.

As the part of World Environment Day, Mrs Sainamma Shaju planted a sapling to spread the message of preserving nature and to go green. Following that our beloved Principal Rev Fr Joby Pannoorayil  OSB , welcomed all the students into the family of SKPS and motivated them to enlighten themselves through  education and knowledge. Mr Santhosh Jacob , our PTA President felicitated the audience. The Vote of Thanks was powerfully delivered by Kumari Hera Phinil Kureekottil of Grade 5.

The audience were treated with a cultural feast and the stage came alive with some scintillating performances by the students. Later on , an Awareness programme was in store for the Parents and it was handled by Rev Fr Titus James Thattamatathil  ,Director SVD Prarthana Nikethan Kaduthuruthy  .
