Reminiscence in 2005. The strong foundation of education imparted by the school gave me the ability to achieve excellence
I have had a long and enriching school life at SKPS, spanning from grade 3 to grade 12 and graduating
in my professional life. Teachers and staff at the school emphasized personal growth equally with academic
training. I have fond memories of getting involved in extra-curricular activities like karate, yoga and others
that l enjoyed during the time. lt was equally exciting to take part in athletics, football and badminton. l also
got the opportunity to lead one of the houses at school that helped me better my leadership skills. Dedication,
integrity, healthy competition spirit and sensibility in leadership are qualities I learnt at school. They have
helped me incredibly even to this day at my current job as an Aircraft production manager at Bombardier
Aerospace, Toronto. The school has always understood the value of wholistic education. Co-curricular and
extra-curricular activities nourished us to evolve beyond cognitive skills alone. Arts and science exhibitions
at the school were significant events. These events instilled a passion for technology and creative arts in me.
58 For my engineering degree final semester project in 2009, as a team of3 students, we designed and built a
2- seater full scale airplane in 5 months time at a small factory facility in Chennai. Successful completion
of this airplane has been one of the most memorable moments of my life. My school recognized the efforts and
awarded me with an Award for Excellence. At that function I felt humbled and grateful to the school for
the appreciation and support extended to an alumni of the school. During my grade 9 and grade 10 years,
French was offered as a second language option. I chose to enrol for the class and l enjoyed a lot learning the
new language. Later in my life l came across an opportunity to pursue a post graduate education and life in
Canada where the second official language happens to be French. Looking back, this has been a delightful
coincidence. SKPS is a highly regarded institution in the state, recognized for its quality of education and
the value system it inculcates in the students. lam proud to be an alumni of this school. I am confident that
a bright future awaits those who are enrolled in this institution and those who are planning to be a part of
this big family.
