I am very glad that a Souvenir is published in connection with the Silver Jubilee BishOP
celebrations of St. Kuriakose Senior Secondary School, Kaduthuruthy.
Benedictines are well known for their educational institutions and services
throughout the world. In line with the Benedictine tradition, the Vallombrosan
Benedictine Congregation started their service in India through St. Kuriakose
School, Pazhuthuruth. l do gratefully remember the initiatives taken by my
predecessor Mar Kuriakose Kunnacherry in this project with the whole hearted
support of Mons. Jacob Vellian, Mons. Jacob Kollaparambil and many others.
Their hard work and dedication have realized St. Kuriakose Public School as a
prestigious educational institution. Later, the Vallombrosan Benedictine monks
have taken up the school,and l thank the Lord that they continue to keep the
institution in the glory of the well known Benedictine educational institutions 7
throughout the world.
I hope that this souvenir will bring out the glorious moments of the past twenty
five years of the school which will inspire the succeeding generations of students
to aspire for greater heights in life filled with human values and commitment to
the nation.
