At the onset let me share my jubilation with one and all associated with SKPS from its
Message inception 25 years ago to its present. I feel great pride in being a close observer of its
multifaceted activities within the school and in its reach outside too. Modern history of
Kaduthuruthy is incomplete without a mention of this pioneer educational institution. The
school is also one of the landmarks of this historical town. As an elected representative of
Kaduthuruthy, I need not search for any testimonials to establish the significance of SKPS
to the development of Kaduthuruthy. No one can downplay the lead role assumed by the
school, as its stands in the limelight while celebrating silver jubilee, which is not a little thing
in annals of history. The entire area of its influence has undergone a tremendous change,
beyond limits of credibility. Beyond academic excellence, children of ordinary parents could
avail a platform to showcase their latent talents in co-curricular areas; whereby they could
emerge all round personalities. It can also boast of introducing a number of novel co-
curricular subjects into the curriculum.
The truth that a myriad alumni are doing exceedingly well is matter of great pride.
They have not only lifted the economy of the place but helped school earn an enviable
place among institutions par excellence. The basic inclination towards charity, imbibed in
school, kindle the hopes of children from poorer families to pursue education in SKPS itself.
12 Former students of the school and current batches raise handsome amounts, as a regular
habit, to show their concern towards less fortunate brethren by way of financial assistance
and relief measures. These children owe a lot to the school in cultivating charity in day-to-
day activities. I also feel a sense of elation and content while taking part in such acts of
mercy. Destitute and downtrodden are identified and extended assistance in construction
of houses and repairs, financial material medical assistance to orphanages are a few to
mention. The sincerity with which it is undertaken is commendable.
A host of cultural activities too is conducted from tiny tots of primary classes to
the senior most inmates. The menu is so identified that it enables the development of
multifaceted personality. These programs infact help in preserving culture and social values
and preventing their erosion.
When the school basks in silver jubile limelight, I greet the school for its growth at
enhanced pace and let the school function as a beacon of hope, guidance and optimism to
all. Let its glory and fame spread through the length and breadth of its locality.
